Prerequisites

Setup requires:

Install the Edgio CLI

If you have not already done so, install the Edgio CLI.

1npm i -g @edgio/cli@latest

Getting Started

Clone the edgio-v7-ai-example repo and change to the llamaindex directory.

1git clone https://github.com/edgio-docs/edgio-v7-ai-example.git
2cd llamaindex
Set up environment variables in a .env.local file by copying the .env.example file to .env.local and adding your OpenAI API key.

1cp .env.example .env.local
Install the dependencies and run the development server:

1npm i
2npm run dev
Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result. You can start editing the page by modifying app/page.tsx. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.

Deployment

Install the Edgio CLI if you haven’t already. Run your development server with edg dev:

Deploy your project with edg deploy:
